Subject: On Hook DIaling method - SIP Phones
Hi,
We have recently implemented new SIP phones (J179 IP Sets) in our existing environment of H323 phones.
We observed a different dialing patterns on SIP phones as compared to H323 phones. In SIP we need to dial the Ext. number & press Call button to initiate the call whereas in H323 we simply dial the Ext. number & it automatically connects the call.
In SIP phones settings, we tried changing the dialing mode to Automatic but this is introducing dialing delay not sure why. As we dont have overlapping dial plan and we dont face any such issues in H323 phones.
Please suggest.
