Arslan,
I'll bet that you have already found the two following documents.
- https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/solutions/collateral/enterprise/interoperability-portal/avaya-app-note-6-3.pdf
The Avaya document goes back to ASM 6.2 and the Cisco goes back to ASM 6.3. Both documents describe making the SIP trunk using TCP.
I understand it is Avaya Best Practice to use TLS / SRTP for all VoIP communication, both internally and externally. I would assume the same of Cisco. However, when we put together a course on communicating from ASM to CUCM we engaged one of our resident Cisco implementers to assist in setting up the TLS connection between them. He shocked us by saying that Cisco only uses TLS in environments that demand high security, such a military installations. Otherwise, it is not used. He strongly discouraged us from using TLS.
I strongly doubt that Cisco avoids TLS in VoIP, but the installer is considered knowledgeable about CUCM, and we are one of Cisco's largest partners.
Were you able to get it to work?

Subject: Session Manager - Cisco UCM SIP Trunk over TLS
Hi,
Greetings.
I am required to do SIP Trunk over TLS between Session Manager (7.1) to Cisco UCM (11.x).
Not getting any Application notes which explains the complete configuration details, all available notes are explaining over TCP.
If anyone has done it, please share the details.
