Hey Chip!
We're playing around with a CM 8.1 system and various SIP endpoints. I've got a J159 & J189 that I am testing out. Our users have 9650 IP phones that have 16 feature buttons so I need an endpoint that will support at least that many. To use the lower screen, you tell the CM that the phone has a Button Module and the features that are assigned there show up on the lower screen. You have 4 screens of 6 feature buttons and there is a nice indicator light that tells you which of the 4 screens you are on. The J159 is reasonably priced, but the J189 is quite expensive, but the upper screen is quite large (but you have to change to half screen mode to use all 10 of those buttons)

Subject: Anyone using J159 and J189 SIP endpoints?
Hi folks, I didn't realize there were new J-series endpoints. Or maybe I just wasn't familiar with them. Is anyone using the J159 or J189? It looks like they have an additional display on the bottom of the phoneset for feature keys, while the traditonal top display is for line appearances.
I've been using the J179 and J139 for several months now and I like them both quite a bit. Do we know if there's anything appreciably different about these other models?
