  • 1.  SMGR Web interface for End users (Telephony users)

    Posted 09-02-2021 09:19 AM
    Dear All,
Can we provide a web interface of Avaya System Manager or something similar to our SIP telephony users so that they can manage their contacts from Web page instead of adding them manually by phone key pad. The idea is to provide a user friendly interface to end users.
Its possible in Cisco but not getting any information for Avaya side.We are using SMGR 8.1.3

    Arslan,

We have installed the One-X communicator on computers and then performed a contact import. Then people just click to dial, you just need to make sure they have the softphone set to call from desk phone.

    Arslan,
In fact you can do it by assigning role to users.
    First create group:
SMGR: Users Tab --> Groups & Roles --> Groups.
    Then create Role:
SMGR: Users Tab --> Groups & Roles -->  Roles.
New Role, Add Mapping ... :
    Group Name: the created group.
Element or Resource Type: Communication Manager, Next
    Unselect All and select:
Endpoint Buttons Permission For Edit Operation:
Here all selected or select needed, for example: call-fwd, call-pkup, auto-cback, admin.
Of course assign the created role to a user.
This user of course can edit buttons on other phones too, not only on his/her phone.

Also we have another option : via phone WEB.
    https://ip address
Click Key Configuration and you can edit keys including keys on the modules of course.
In this case user can edit not only keys assignment but other phone settings too.
