Regarding blocking incoming numbers- we were given instruction to use Session Manager to block in coming nuisance numbers- Session manager> Network configuration> SIP firewall> select rule> go to Blacklist tab> add the number to block. Does anyone know if there is a limit of how many numbers we can block this way and what are reason we would not want to block numbers using this process?

Here is what I learned at an ENGAGE session a couple years ago and using a Vector to handle nuisance callers.

    Screening Unwanted Calls:

You would need to build the numbers into a VRT table, then add that line in a vector that the call would need to pass through so the screening can be done…..

I have attached a page with some additional screen shots. Hope this helps. I found it to be much easier than the way I was handling it prior.

Before we block a number, we check that it doesn't belong to a customer record because the abusive caller may be spoofing another person's phone number.

I'm unaware of a limit on the capacity of the list.
