  • 1.  What *exactly* happens at subscription license expiration - technical WebLM / PLDS level detail ?

    Posted 10-13-2023 05:45 PM

Has anyone found a document that describes the events, timers, grace periods that begin when an Aura 7.x or 8.x subscription expires ? I've heard anecdotally that there is a 30-day grace period, similar to perpetual licenses, but what works and what doesn't during that period ?

    Thanks,

    Matt

From the public information that Avaya has posted, most applications will go into license-error mode as soon as the license expires, and that will usually prevent new device registrations, prevent administration or stop services.

You /may/ be able to squeak out a 30-day window if you shut down your WebLM server before the expiration and have the product go into grace-mode... but that won't work for all products (AES, for example, will lock out almost immediately).  Grace-Mode for most products will just generate a major alarm.
