Thank you Mike! That seems to do the trick. The first time I tried it, it didn't take my new password when it pormpted me. But I think I may have not typed the same password twice (fat fingered it) and that confused the system and told me it was wrong password and I could not get in at all until I did another reset passwd -f <userid> and your suggested chage -d 0 <userid> and everything worked perfectly after I made sure I entered the same password word twice :-)
Thanks again Mike!!

Try using chage -d 0 <login> after you set the temp password. This sets the password age to 0 and should force them to change the password. This works for use with the current CMS 19 version.

Subject: CMS passwd -f not prompting for new password
Hello everyone,
I am trying to reset my user's pasws2words with a one-time password and force them to set a new password I do not know when logging into CMS Supervisor. I have always used passwd -f <login> for this but my users are not getting or able ot change this one time password and have to continue to use it to login.
AM I doing something wrong or has this changed in more recent CMS versions?
Thanks for your help/advice! :-)
