- AVAYA IX WORKPLACE CLIENT (EQUINOX) - DEPLOYMENT FUNDAMENTALS
- Equinox is Avaya's latest UC softphone. It aggregates various services (such as EC500, VoIP, Conferencing, Instant Messaging, Presence, Enterprise Directory, and Calendar) into an extremely user friendly and easily deployable application. There are definitely some things that the administrators need to pay attention to. This session will cover some of the tips and tricks to help you get the most out of the application. We'll cover things like the basics of the client itself, DNS auto-configuration, Avaya's Unified Login, SBC settings, and so much more. Everyone wants to enable robust mobility for their end users. Equinox is one of the best clients to use. And this session will give you the confidence to do it right.
- INTRODUCTION TO AVAYA SIP TROUBLESHOOTING
- If you're like most customers, you've started down the path of SIP in some way. Maybe it's just SIP trunks, maybe it's adjunct connectivity to integrate IVR's or voicemail, or maybe you've begun rolling out SIP phones and Equinox mobile clients. If so, it's important that you know how to troubleshoot in the world of SIP. It's very different from H.323, with more things to keep track of. In this session we'll provide an overview of SIP and Avaya's use of SIP in their architecture. We'll show you tools available in System Manager and Session Manager tools, including traceSM. If you're new to SIP, this will be a great session to learn some of the tools to help you give your users a better experience. You won't want to miss this session!

Meet David Lover, VP Strategy & Technology
David is a leader focusing on products and solutions to address the customer needs of Unified Communications and Collaboration, Customer Experience, CEBP, and End-User Adoption.
David works closely with the product marketing and development teams of our top partners to understand their strategy, and while representing ConvergeOne and their customers, collaborate with those teams to provide guidance and feedback to shape the future direction of those partners’ portfolios. He uses these relationships and set of product knowledge to work with ConvergeOne teams to be in alignment with the total portfolio strategy. As a leader in our Office of the CTO, he works with every part of the business. From Sales to Professional Services, from senior leadership to end-users, from overall business strategy to nuts and bolts technical understanding, his skills at identifying, articulating and managing our strategic technology direction to customers, partners and employees sets ConvergeOne apart as a leader in our industry.
David’s previous role was Chief Technology Officer for Cross Telecom and Arrow SI. He was a former Senior Engineer at Lucent Technologies and Avaya and has applied communications technologies in a business environment for large Fortune 500 and Enterprise multi-site corporations. David is a nationally recognized keynote speaker and presenter at numerous industry conferences, forums, and seminars across the United States. He has built tremendous, strategic relationships with analysts and manufacturers alike, insuring relevancy and the best possible “future state” outcome for ConvergeOne and their customers. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Technical Training and Development.
