    Dear All,

We are planing to migrate 2000 Plus H.323 phones (96xx and J Series) to SIP phone. Aura 8.1 environment.
Please share some of your experiences in doing so, what are the steps which I should follow and the caveats which I should take into prior considerations. Any document on this topic would also be helpful.

He's a short list of the areas in which I'd be concerned:
    • Bulk loading of user data in System Manager.  Bulk loading can be finicky when you first start out.
    • Are you considering dual h.323/SIP registration in order to allow for a paced rollout vs. a flash cutover?  This can provide flexibility if a user has to be restored to h.323.
    • Have you examined multiple device usage and determined the maximum per user?
    • Have you validated your SM sizing for your user count and for SM redundancy?
    • Have you examined SIP user password minimum length and aging policy?
    • Does all of your administration take place using System Manager now?  If not, do you have CM Notify activated to synchronize SAT based changes to SMGR?
    • Are there still any remaining features assigned to phones that only work with h.323?  For instance, Busy indicators may be an issue if you're on plain 8.1.0  If you're on 8.113 they're supposed to be supported with firmware 4 and above
