  • 1.  SIP ACD Login

    Posted 01-20-2022 10:10 AM
    Hello All,

In attempting to migrate my ACD H.323 phones over to a J179CC, I noticed the system will not allow me to save the station because I do not have EAS turned on. Currently I have 96X1 H.323 stations setup to press Login, Logout, auto-in and aux work etc. to a specific ACD hunt group. I tried adding the buttons a default J179 but no system abrv dial buttons can be added and auto-in / aux-work is not an available option on this model.

So I created an J179CC which does have these two buttons and created autodials for the login and logout feature but i can not apply it because of this EAS feature. Is there a way around this? I really need to get these phone sets swapped out.

Dear Todd, we are looking into it. Some time needed.
If EAS is disabled, then this should not cause problems with its applying.
Was there an error message or smth saying that EAS disabled when you had a try ?
Are you attempting to migrate 96X1 H.323 phones over to a J179CC type ?
    Or which phones ?
Have you tried 9611SIPCC type ?

H.323 Phones have been flashed to SIP FW first ?
Are you making changes in SMGR or Communication Manager ?
You wrote: created autodials for the login and logout feature - you mean Feature Acces Codes ?
    Thanks for your question.

    Good Morning Ruslan,

Yes sir, I am in the process of migrating my 96x1 h.323 phones to J179CC for all of my ACD groups. When I set the template type to J179CC  I can select the Auto-in and aux work feature buttons and put the log in and logout buttons as autodials instead the current system abbreviated dials. The issue is when I try to save the template I get the error that EAS is not turned on.

If you try to create the template as a standard J179 the auto-in and aux work button are not an option. You have to create each button as autodials. The other issue is that you can not add the q-calls button to the J179 only the J179CC which again the J179CC requires EAS

    Login autodial 8242000

    Logout autodial 8252000

    Auto-in autodial 8962000

    Aux-work autodial 8272000

All changes are being made in SMGR under CM Endpoints. No I have not tried flashing the 9611 h.323 with SIP SW. I have already migrated a majority of my 9611G h.323 to J179 or J189 for all of my standard users.

I found that after making all of the ACD feature buttons autodials on the J179, you do not get the LED indicators letting the user know if that are in an available or aux-work state. You can see the status in the BCMS split view but the user has no idea. So the work around for creating all autodials is not an option either

    Hi Todd,
There is only about skills (EAS) in Using Avaya J100 Series SIP IP Phone for Call Center Agents document.
    https://download.avaya.com/css/public/documents/101053987
So might some our colleagues here faced that and could suggest a way around.

    Todd,

We use J179 sip phones and do not have autodial or abvd-dial buttons.
    Are you using SIP firmware?

The sip agent phones have one button that is both agent login and logout depending on the status.
