Just an update in case any one else tries this.
Our trial was unsuccessful. Everything worked after the initial setup. After retesting the following day the call would fail. A trace would show the call proceeding but no call would arrive at the destination. Reest the T2000 and all is well. For awhile. Trunk status shows as active/idle so next option in route pattern isn't selected. Test trunk passes only valid test (36).
