  • 1.  Block Caller ID on Internal Extension to Extension Calls

    Posted 02-25-2021 02:11 PM
    We have an ACD group in Radiology that frequently calls other internal departments. When the agent makes a call the extension on the phone is showing to the other people and now people are calling the extensions directly, bypassing the queue. The supervisor asked us to block CPN on internal calls. We changed the per station CPN to N and R but the extension still shows on internal calls. Is there any way to block this?

    Blocking CPN only blocks the name, not the extension. I am not aware of way to block the extension. Maybe someone else will know.

    All I can think to do is program a new extension, for sake of argument, 1239.
    * add sta 1239
    * Type: 6408D+
    * Port: X

    That is all you need. Just execute this. You can then assign this new extension as a bridged appearance to any of the Radiology phones. When they need to calls the other departments, 1239 will show up.

    you can forward 1239 directly to voice mail where a greeting will state to call the main Radiology extension if they have a question.

    I was reminded by a fellow member that this is the process that should be used. Just in case he only private messaged you Kathleen, and for the benefit of others. I did this years ago, but forgot about it:

    "You can turn this off in the COR on page 3. The CallRid will display as "Info restricted"

    When I just tried it here it says, "anonymous."
