What products are people using to monitor their trunks, both sip and pri, for Avaya 8 and soon to be 10?  We had a presentation from Nectar last year and we are looking for additional companies to compare.

    Rachel,
You might want to get a hold of:
    https://www.spearline.com/what-we-do/products/
I met with their rep Cathal Dunne(cathal.dunne@spearline.com) at Enterprise Connect last week, and this may be a good fit for you.
They  do a lot of monitoring for both Avaya products and Microsoft Teams.

Monitor in what way?   CM and Session Manager can be configured to send SNMP traps to your NMS (e.g. Solarwinds) so you can monitor for complete outages that way.  If you're looking for usage monitoring, you'll need something that can collect the measurements data from CM so you can accumulate and analyze the data over a longer period of time (CM only keeps the peak data for the previous day).  We wrote our own tool that collects the hourly peak measurements for each trunk group, hourly.  When we need to look at the data, we summarize/avg usage as desired and run our own erlang math.  Pretty sure Nectar does the same thing (while also looking for up/down status).

If considering an off-the-shelf product, make sure to ask how it monitors Session Manager.  You can't really monitor for SIP trunk outages from CM. Since CM talks to SM, those trunks should always be up.
