  • 1.  SIP endpoint not ringing on phone and going straight to voicemail

    We are struggling trying to identify why our inbound calls are not ringing on SIP endpoints but routing directly to voicemail.  Any troubleshooting thoughts?

    Hi,
    Few things to check:

    1. Check location on station form.

    2. In off-pbx form check trunk allocation.

    traceSM output will be good place to start with.

    Would help to know which Avaya platform your phones are on? Aura, ACO, IP Office.

    HI Jayne,

                      as the guys already said  traceSM is your best friend here, as you will see if a SIP 181 Cal Forward is active or not when hitting the ext., a few other things to check that have got me before are

     

    1. make sure you have 2 x Call-apper Buttons if you have Restrict Last Appearance set to yes,
    2. if your using a sub domains make sure you use the correct Domain in communication profile >> communication address,
    3.  make sure your Application Sequences are set in Session manager profile,
