  • 1.  Avaya Workplace - Google Calendar - Access Blocked

    Today we noticed that on Workplace for Windows, the calendar section can no longer sign into Google.  Google Sign-in access is blocked, authorization error.  

    The OAuth client was deleted.
    If you are a developer of this app, see error details.
    Error 401: deleted_client

    I opened an SR with Avaya and will share any information that might help address this issue.  I tried using the latest release of Workplace, v3.37 but we are getting the same results.

    Google announced that they tightened security, blocking less secure apps, stating that you need to switch to apps that use secure OAuth access.

    Starting on September 30, 2024, less secure apps, third-party apps, or devices that have you sign in with only your username and password will no longer be supported for Google Workspace accounts.

    Thank you Anna.

    Avaya reproduced the issue, which was brought to the attention of the Product House. The solution was in the Google app configuration and fixed on the back end. Customers should be able to sign in to Google Calendar from Workplace for Windows now.
