  • 1.  IP Conference Phone with wireless extension mics

    Posted 01-17-2020 12:08 PM
    Hi all,
We have a 1692 IP Conference Phone that is dead and my boss asked me to see if there is a version that uses wireless extension mics. I've searched around but have not found anything. I would like to verify that before I order a new conference phone.

We are on Aura v5.2, but will begin an upgrade project to the current version later in Q1.

    Thanks!

    Hello Tim,

I too have only found wired expansion mics, I haven't been able to find wireless expansion mics.

Thanks Tim. According to the specs on the linked page for the expansion mics, they are wired. Can they also be used wirelessly?

Avaya IX Conference Phone B159 is an Analog speakerphone that supports Expandable microphones as well as module (Sold Separately) to connect to a PA System.

From the PA Module you can connect a wireless Mic base station. I have used Revolabs now owned by Yamaha.

The issues we had was in the setup of the system and balancing the audio as well as the end users never but the mic back on the charger and they were continuity dead.

In the end we replaced them with 3 B199's daisy changed together (I know not a wireless option) however this is a SIP phone and requires Aura 6.3 or greater.

The cool thing about the B199's are the not only extend mic's, but they extend speakers as well that provides a richer experience.
Connect three Avaya B199 Conference Phones is a daisy chain using the audio expansion ports and daisy chain cables. Support for up-to two slave B199 units per master.
