  • 1.  Denying calls based on Originating IP Address in CM 7.0

    HI,

We are having a Multinational system where in users travelling from home country to foreign countries on frequent basis, I want to restrict their outbound dialing capabilities  to home country PSTN & PLMN network when they logged in with their home country extension in foreign country IP Phones THis is needed because of Telecom laws of certain foreign countries.

So basically, I need CM to deny PSTN calls based on originating IP address.

I know it can be done on SM/SMGR but in my scenario all phones are H323 & hence I need to do on CM.

    CM 7.1
96xx IP Phones in H323 mode.
H248 Gateways with ISDN & CO trunks.

    Arslan,
Can you explain the user use case?

"As a person traveling from _______________ and working in _____________  using my (hardphone | softphone) I should be blocked from dialing _________ based upon legislation/rules within __________ jurisdiction."

This would really help people to better understand the problem.  For instance, should it be solved based on tenant partitions where one tenant is not allowed to use the trunks that are placed into a different tenant?  or some other solution.

Best I can offer is to try to understand the requirements better.
