  • 1.  SIP Integration with NEC and modifying Caller ID

    Posted 07-24-2020 10:01 AM
    Hi,
    Greetings.

I have to undertake a critical project of integrating Avaya Aura Enterprise 7.1 system with NEC platform.
On Avaya side we have 20 plus location in centralized system.
On NEC we have 10 locations in Hub and spoke model.

    Questions :

    1. We want SIP integration between these system, do I need any license on Avaya side, my assumption is no, but I want to be sure on this.

    2. We can not have / afford direct network connectivity between each Avaya & NEC sites, we are planning to have network connectivity only between respective DCs of NEC & Avaya servers, and then install G450 gateway in Avaya DC for providing media connectivity to Avaya and NEC branches, as the DC G450 will have connectivity to all Avaya branches and NEC branches.  I will do this by disabling shuffling on SIP trunk. Please let me know if this is correct way of doing it.

    3. I want to modify the Caller IDs of the incoming calls from NEC PBXs as we have conflicting dial plans, where can I do this in CM / ASM ?

4.Do I need any licenses on NEC side ?

    5. If anyone has done this type of integration, please share the experience and configurations.

    Thanks in advance.

There are a number of integration documents on the Support Website, but none of them are recent, the latest being issued in 2004.  Have you looked at any of these?

As for modifying Caller ID you'll want to look at Session Manager's DigitConversion adapter?  I can't help you with licensing.
