I need to re-point my time server. I guess to make this happen you need to restart your CM. Can I just restart the CM or do I need to also restart the System Manager, CMM etc.?
Is it alright to choose immediate shutdown or is it best to use the Delayed Shutdown choice.

I'm not sure why you would need to restart CM. I have done this routinely from the web interface without any restarts. What version of CM are you running?

I logged into a 7.X LSP that I have access to and updating the Time Zone and NTP settings didn't seem to affect any service. I was running statapp from the cli and I didn't see any interruption in any services.

To be safe , you could just run changes after hours although at a Hospital that is basically never which I understand. I have often updated these settings in production with no impact on call processing but I would hate to give you bad advice. When in doubt proceed with caution. Especially on these newer releases. I have had Avaya running procedures on trouble tickets that they said would have no affect on production only to get burned.

    Dale,
I recall that you'd have to restart system platform, which in turn restarted all of the virtual servers under it's management, when you changed the NTP source. You're on version 7.  Is that with AVP? or do you have a standalone virtual server under your own company's Vsphere environment?
