Avaya PLDS and FL numbers - Company - Group Name - Group ID

    Hi,

I would be grateful if someone could clear up a couple of  things for me or point me to some documentation with reference to PLDS.

I often have to activate licenses on PLDS and find the records are not in the best state regarding entitlements / FL numbers and Group names / ID's etc..

Service Mode / Standard Mode - Some entitlements appear in one but not the other --- My understanding is that it depends who ordered the licenses - business partner / customer / Avaya - is this correct?

ID - What do the diffirent ID numbers indicate..i.e. 777xxxxxxx / 5xxxxxxx / 6xxxxxxx numbers --- My understanding is that 777 number are parent company ID numbers containing the mutliple site FL numbers, seems the same with 6xxxxxxx number too.

There are a few models of Avaya Aura customer platforms

    1. A standalone small single site customer system with just one ACM (Simplex or duplex) system located at one address (customer premises or DC). There may be other servers/applications AAM, SMGR, One-X Attendants etc... In this simple setup a customer has a single 5xxxxxxx FL or Group ID number

    2. A Larger customer (single point of billing) who has 5 or 6 diffrent geograpgical sites but each system is independant (ie. hospitals) - Should they have a 777 number with 5 or 6 seperate FL or Group ID numbers, one for each independant system?

    3. A Large mutlisite customer with a single virtualised ACM platform and 5 or 6 LSP sites. All the licenses are apppled to the main HQ/DC platform so in this case, does each site still need a seperate FL number?  as all entitlements should be ordered and activated against the Main HQ/DC system.

Is my understanding correct or have i missed something

    Many thanks
