    Hello all,

I'm wondering if anyone in this group has had any experience with deploying Avaya Equinox mobile client. Our company is looking to pilot a small program in the very near future and had some lingering questions regarding integration with EMS/SBC and Session Manager.

    Thanks!

    -Mike

We are also about to put the wheels in motion on a pilot.  Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Equinox mobile client is available for Android & iOs. In Avaya terminology its called as Remote Worker (RW)

It has great functions like :
    1. You can login with your Avaya IP Phone extension on mobile with out any VPN and then your mobile becomes your extension. This is RW
    2. Multimedia Messaging : You can call it Corporate Whatsapp.
    3. Equinox VIdeo : You can initiate & join video conferences from this App.
    4. Its support Auto COnfiguration : like microsoft Outlook setup, your complete account gets configured seamlessly by just typing your email address, similarly complete Equinox account gets configured with just typing an email address.
    5. Its secure as its support only TLS.

Above mentioned features in background needs server & licenses for each functionality. to work & they are modular , you can add each functionality as per need basis. Minimum is RW.

Following are prerequisites for RW in Avaya enterprise setup :

    1. System Manager
    2. Session Manager
    3. CM'
    4. SBCE
    5. Static Public IP with one to one NAT
    7. Range of UDP & TCP ports to be opened on Firewall.
    8. Public CA SSL certificates.
    9. Advanced & Standard licenses on SBCE.
    10. Some DNS & AD configuration (if you are doing auto config)

SBCE licenses are concurrent session licenses which means if you are giving Equinox to 10 users you don't necessarily need 10 licenses, you need to plan for licenses based on concurrent calls which these 10 employees with make via Equinox app.

Its a stable solution & we haven't seen any issues since we implemented it.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.

This feature is also supported on IP Office setup but I am not versed on it, may be someone on this forum can highlight about it.
