i've been having a SHDW-CIR alarm reoccurring and everytime i do whats prescribed by the tech manual (reset system 1) a warm reboot removes the fault, for about a 2-5 months or so, also i'm receiving a minor alarm from the CARD-MEM, that the translations aren't being saved to the card the same. one SPE will be successful and the other will fail. however when i do a manual save translation they both report success and the alarm clears, any ideas???

do you ever swap out the tapes?

yes i swap out the memory cards when i get some ordered but navy supply system isn't exactly great. cards should last for more than a month i would think. maybe replace it every 6 months.

Navy guy huh, what ship? i was on the Truman, anyway, what version system is it?

G3Si V9 i don't know what the firmware version is. i'm on the Boxer it's an amphib. the memory cards get swapped out semi annually do you know of a way to format the cards maybe zero them out etc? i can't imagine that basically an 8MB pcmcia flash card would get worn out after 2 months. could it be something else dealing with the dupint? or SPE card itself?

it sounds like its not doing a complete backup. i will look up some more info

maybe backup was too strong of a word, how about save translation, SPE-A fail. SPE-B success. because of this i have a minor alarm card-mem which has something to do with the shdw-cir alarm because of the Memory-bus.
