Change Node Name and S8300 Hostname

We have moved one of our gateways and I need to change the name to fit in with our naming standards. The gateway is a G350 with S8300 as LSP.

What is the correct process for changing a node name on CM and hostname on an S8300

    Thanks

I'm not sure this is something you can easily change.  I'd use Avaya professional services for this.  I think a lot can go awry.

This isn't the same as changing a Windows PC name.

Was hoping for a simple answer but that would be to easy :-)

From what I know I thought I would need to first remove the Node name from the relevant network region and then change the node name on CM. As for the host name I'm not sure if and how I first remove the LSP config and then add it back with the new hostname.

What is the version of CM?

If it is CM6 you can change it via system platform under Server Management-->network configuration.

If it is CM5 you can change it via CM GUI under Installation-->Configure Server-->Set Identites.

It is CM 5.2. I tried changing the hostname on the set identities page but it was not keeping the changes. Not sure if I have to remove all the LSP configuration and redo it.
