    G700-S8300B registration failure

    i had a customer with 2 G700 (cascaded) with an S8300B server... an incident happen when the whole system went down and when i try to checked both gateways it says " MGP Faults -- + H248 registration failure";
    this is true for both gateways.

    gateways 1 and 2 cannot ping the server and vice versa

    i tried to isolate the system from my clients network,i connected a laptop directly to the LAN port of the G700 (EXT 1/EXT 2) with static ip within subnet. still i cannot ping the server and the gateway at my laptop and vice versa.

    i was able to resolved this issue by doing nvram init on both gateways "MGP ang P330" for several times and reconfiguring it the same as the previous running config. this is so very weird.

    i was able to capture logs from var/log/ecs from the linux interface of the server (go shell) with the date of the incident. but i am able to interpret it.theres this log thats bothering me ":MED:[OVERLOAD: data overflow ffffffb7 versus 000000798 on priority 3 cur 00000000 last 00000049]" can anybody help me interpret it or help me find out whats wrong with the system?

    Thank you and Best Regards,

    Has any major changes occured recently that you're aware of? When was the last time the system was rebooted? I would suggest that you take a look at Avaya's Firmware Compatibility Matrix and determine whether or not you need to upgrate the MGP and P330 firmwares on both units. Also, have you tried separting the two gateways and programming each as two standalone gateways? Also, on the error log below, I am thinking that "MED" is referring to MedPro resources or the DSPs? I forget how many DSP's each G700 comes with but my guess is that it was 64. You need to determine the maximum number of DSPs being used during when the usage on the system is at a peak.
