Need LOTS of help with EAS. Anybody have any suggestions on books or guides? I kind of inherited this and am learning "trial by fire". Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What help do you need in EAS?

Well, I have never used it. We used to have three clients, and we use the hunt/splits for our call center now. Soon we will have 12. I need info all the way from the beginning. I have pricing out now for one on one training, but would like to have some basics out of the way.

EAS must be marked "y" in your switch (system-parameter customer-options).

With EAS you assign agent id's instead of place members in the particular hunt group.

    Example of hunt group:

    Group Number: 80 ACD? y
Group Name: Q&R Disaster Recovery Queue? n
    Group Extension: 1036 Vector? y
    Group Type: ucd-mia
    TN: 1
COR: 1 MM Early Answer? n
    Security Code:
    ISDN Caller Display:

Skill? y Expected Call Handling Time (sec): 180
    AAS? n
    Measured: none
    Supervisor Extension:

    Example of an agent id:

    AGENT LOGINID

    Login ID: 1379 AAS? n
    Name: G3r Maint AUDIX? n
    TN: 1 LWC Reception: spe
COR: 75 LWC Log External Calls? n
Coverage Path: AUDIX Name for Messaging:
    Security Code:
Direct Agent Skill: LoginID for ISDN Display? n
    Call Handling Preference: skill-level Password:
    Password (enter again):
    Auto Answer: station
    --SN SL
    1. 45 1
    2. 05 2
    3. 15 4
    4. 25 5
    5. 80 2

SN = Skill (hunt group) #
SL = Skill Level (Preference of taking calls 1=1st choice to 16= least choice)

When a user logs in the COR of the agent id takes over the stations COR.

This is the basic stuff, I hope this helps.

EAS is very easy to assign and very flexible.

Thanks so much!! i've heard about it being easy and a great application for centers with multiple skill sets, we just haven't had the need for it yet. Now we have to switch so I'm in a bind.

Can I have all the loginIDs set b4 I make the final switch on all of the vectors?

Tha thing that scares me is that there is no real way to test it before you go live (a limitation I do not like about Avaya's programming)

I think you mean Hunt Groups, the answer is Yes.

It is a major change, but you will like it. A piece of cake.
