IAUG Avaya Users Moderators
In order to better serve our members, IAUG has launched a website moderator position. The moderators will be primarily responsible for the discussion forum moderation of the Avaya Users Website. The focus of these moderators will be to facilitate conversations between members and or identify unanswered questions on the website.

Moderator’s Responsibilities
- Sustain an active login for avayausers.com
- Login and view new posts
- Search for unanswered posts in your category of expertise
- Ensure the members are receiving quality follow up
- Ensure there is collaboration between the members, IAUG leadership and Avaya
- Be the go between, if needed, of a member and a topic expert
- Be knowledgeable of IAUG organization
- Provide feedback to IAUG about membership participation

Attributes and Qualifications of a Successful Moderator
- An active IAUG end-user member/volunteer
- Possess strong leadership, communication, and organization skills
- Embraces IAUG values and mission
- Comfortable working using the forums tool
- Possess an overall understanding of the business needs of the members and or is able to identify the appropriate contact
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with Avaya, IAUG HQ, and industry peers
- Ability to work collaboratively with Avaya, ecosystem leaders and IAUG HQ to bring significant value to the membership
Time Commitment
- A recommended but not limited to one year commitment
- The time commitment for a moderator varies based on personal interest
- Recommended to monitor the forums weekly with no more than 1 hour per week
- Monthly call with IAUG HQ to discuss best practices and patterns that identified on the website.
