The International Avaya Users Group (IAUG) is the largest end user association in the UC and UCaaS world. The group was formed out of three different user groups as Avaya absorbed several of Nortel’s key businesses. This year the IAUG will break with a long standing tradition of late second quarter shows by instead holding its annual event in February. Moving up the date will allow IAUG to coincide with Avaya’s new product releases. In this podcast IAUG Executive Director, Victor Bohnert, discusses innovation to this year’s conference, including anticipating improved attendee value by being able to attend an event where Avaya’s latest ideas are premiered. Bohnert also discusses how he see Avaya’s recent Chapter 11 filing as the beginning of a relationship with a stronger Avaya. We hear about how critical Avaya is to thousands of major enterprises and that the company, especially by securing a special financial facility, will remain whole and fully engaged in the market. The IAUG is a critical link between end users, Avaya and the hundreds of Avaya partnered companies that form the largest UC ecosystem as measured by installed base.
