Phil Edholm, president and founder of PKE Consulting, has over 30 years experience in creating innovation and transformation in networking and communications. Prior to founding PKE, he was Vice President of Technology Strategy and Innovation for Avaya. In this role, he was responsible for defining vision and strategic technology and the integration of the Nortel product portfolio into Avaya. He was responsible for portfolio architecture, standards activities, and User Experience. Prior to Avaya, he was CTO/CSO for the Nortel Enterprise business for 9 years. At Nortel, he led the development of VoIP solutions and multimedia communications as well as IP transport technology. His background includes extensive LAN and data communications experience, including 13 years with Silicon Valley start-ups.
"Analyzing Actual Availability of an Avaya VoIP Deployment"
What happens when an industry leader is tasked with performing an Avaya VoIP deployment analysis in search of the elusive five 9’s of availability? Sometimes, no matter how robust the communications product, other problems in the enterprise can severely impact business continuity. A good analysis can ferret these weaknesses out, and Mr. Edholm will share a particularly interesting case study.
"Avaya: What the Future Holds, an Impartial Analysis"
Avaya spent 2017 entering into then coming out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy with a reduced debt load, a reorganization plan, and they return to their roots as a publicly traded company. Mr. Edholm will offer his unbiased analysis about Avaya’s path forward.
If you navigate to the address – 10 Ave of the Flags, San Rafael, CA – it will put you at the Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium. But KEEP DRIVING past the auditorium, all the way to back of the facility to the Showcase Theatre Exhibit Hall building. There is a big parking lot back there and you'll be right where you need to be.
